How does it benefit the cattle/goats?
The benefits are many say.
- The cattles get the green fodder, round the year all 365 days
- The fodder is free from diseases, organisms, pesticides & insecticides
- Cattle get high nutritious food with more than double the protein, vitamins, fiber, carbohydrates and minerals, compared to the normal open field Fodder
- Sprouted Green fodder has very high digestibility. It directly gets converted into energy. The cattle love the taste
- Milking animals have been found to gain weight (around 20-40 kg), and have produced almost 15%-20% more milk
How does it benefit the farmer and the owners of cattle?
- They do not need to reserve land space for growing green fodder and the fodder machine takes a very small space in the farm
- No transport cost
- Cattle owners need not depend on buying the fodder externally. Available all 365 days
- Less labor: only 2 people working for 3-4 hours a day can handle around one ton of Fodder (compared to 20+ people required to do the same job in Open field on regular basis)
- Less Power: Power consumption is less than 15-30 units/day for small machines below 1000kg/day capacity. Also work on the UPS/Inverter used as backup
- Less Water: Unit has recycling water system. Only around 1-2 Liters/KG water is required in a day. Compared to 80 times more water in the open field
- Less Cost: It helps reducing the costly concentrate feed by around 40-50%, hence saves huge feed cost on daily basis
- Protection from weather extremities: Since grown in the closed room, no effect of outside climate. All necessary parameters are controlled for optimum growth. Control from bacteria, fungus and pathogens: Since grown in controlled room, no insects etc can attack. Care is taken for the maximum removal of the fungus
